About the Author: Lin Yi-Han 林奕含 (1991–2017) was a Taiwanese writer. Fang Si-Chi’s First Love Paradise was her first and only book. The novel won the Open Book Best Fiction Award, the Liang Yu-Sen Literary Award, and other prizes. Her prose was published in INK magazine and BuzzFeed.

About the Translator: Jenna Tang is a Taiwanese writer, educator, and translator who translates between Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, and English. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. Her translations and essays are published in The Paris Review, Latin American Literature Today, AAWW, Catapult, Mcsweeney’s, and elsewhere. She translated Lin Yi-Han’s novel, Fang Si-Chi's First Love Paradise, one of the most iconic #MeToo movement titles from Taiwan.

About the interlocutor: Denise Kripper is a literary translator, a translation scholar, and the translation editor at Latin American Literature Today. She's the author of Narratives of Mistranslation: Fictional Translators in Latin American Fiction and the co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Latin American Literary Translation. Her latest English translation is the debut novel Salt, by Argentine author Adriana Riva and published by Veliz Books. She lives in Chicago, where she's a founding member of the Third Coast Translators Collective.
